The role of Physical Therapist is based onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center in Carteret, New Jersey. You will be working a standard schedule of 40 hours per week, with variable hours on weekends. Our facility is designed to promote healing and recovery, equipped with modern therapeutic tools and resources to support your practice and the needs of our patients. • Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations to ascertain patients’ functional abilities and limitations.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments and patient goals.
• Engage in continuous assessment and documentation of patient progress, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of professional practice.
• Provide consultations to other healthcare providers and actively participate in interdisciplinary team discussions to optimize patient care.
• Maintain detailed patient records, documenting evaluations, treatment efficacy, and discharge plans, while meeting all regulatory compliance.
• Participate in community outreach and educational initiatives, enhancing public understanding of physical therapy and wellness.
• Supervise and mentor support staff, fostering their professional growth and ensuring quality patient care delivery.

As a Physical Therapist at Atrium, you will primarily work with a diverse patient demographic, including individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgical procedures, and chronic conditions that impact mobility and functionality. Your treatment approach will be customized to each patient, acknowledging their age, cultural background, and specific rehabilitation goals to improve their physical health and independence.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure in Physical Therapy is mandatory.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for effective patient interaction and collaboration with team members.
• Proficient in word processing and computer skills, with familiarity in electronic health record systems.

While a minimum of two years of professional experience in a clinical setting is required, candidates with specialized training or certifications in manual therapy, sports rehabilitation, or geriatrics are highly desirable. Prior experience in a rehabilitation center will be an advantage, as will involvement in leadership initiatives or community engagement.
