This position allows you to work from the comfort of your home while engaging with clients through telehealth platforms. The full-time schedule runs Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on client needs. In this remote setting, you will leverage technology to conduct individual counseling and group therapy sessions, ensuring continuity and effectiveness of care in the telehealth environment.

• Perform thorough assessments to identify the unique needs and treatment objectives for clients seeking recovery from substance use disorders.
• Create personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based interventions specific to individual situations and goals.
• Conduct individual therapy sessions utilizing motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral techniques to foster engagement and support.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions, providing a supportive space for clients to learn from one another and share experiences.
• Coordinate care by collaborating with psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to recovery.
• Provide crisis intervention and effective support during substance-related emergencies, prioritizing client safety and well-being.
• Educate clients and their families about the nature of addiction, recovery strategies, and available community resources.
• Document assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes meticulously in compliance with legal regulations and ethical standards.
• Participate actively in team meetings, case discussions, and ongoing professional development seminars to enhance service delivery.
• Keep current with the latest research, treatment methodologies, and best practices in the field of substance use disorders.

As a Substance Use Disorder Therapist, you will primarily work with individuals grappling with addiction and substance-related challenges. Your focus will extend to include the families of these clients, as you educate and empower them to support their loved ones effectively. By utilizing a recovery-oriented approach, you will contribute positively to their treatment journey, aiming for improved therapeutic outcomes.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited academic institution.
• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, or Psychologist in California.
• Comprehensive understanding of substance use disorders and proficiency in evidence-based treatment methods.
• Demonstrated experience in providing individual and group therapy focused on addiction recovery.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, marked by empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental demeanor.
• Ability to uphold ethical standards and maintain confidentiality while establishing professional boundaries.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and related technology.
• A collaborative spirit, willing to work closely with a multidisciplinary team in providing integrated care.

• Experience working in telehealth environments or offering remote therapy services.
• Knowledge about community resources specific to Palmdale, CA, and surrounding areas to assist clients effectively.
