This position is primarily remote, allowing you to deliver high-quality care from the comfort of your home while maintaining a proper work-life balance. • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to accurately determine the needs of each patient, enabling the creation of personalized treatment plans tailored to their specific circumstances.
• Utilize various evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, to deliver effective interventions to individuals, couples, and families.
• Lead psychoeducational and support groups to foster a sense of community and address shared mental health concerns in a safe and supportive environment.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care, ensuring patients receive holistic support for their mental health.
• Provide crisis intervention services, equipping patients with the tools and support needed during mental health emergencies.
• Educate patients on mental health topics, treatment options, and community resources that can facilitate their recovery and well-being.
• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation that complies with both legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient record-keeping.
• Engage actively in case consultations, interdisciplinary team meetings, and ongoing professional development to enhance clinical skills and share best practices.
• Stay abreast of the latest research, advancements, and methodologies in mental health therapy to continually improve treatment efficacy.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Atrium Health and Wellness Center, you will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals from various cultural backgrounds and age groups. Your clients will include those seeking treatment for depression, anxiety disorders, trauma-related issues, and substance abuse challenges. Our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing space for all patients, focusing on holistic well-being and recovery.

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York State.
• A solid knowledge base in mental health disorders, including evidence-based treatment modalities and therapeutic approaches.
• Demonstrated experience conducting comprehensive mental health assessments and developing individualized treatment plans that yield positive outcomes.
• Experience providing individual and group therapy to a broad range of populations, including underserved communities.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to empathize with patients while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Proficiency in EHR systems and related computer applications to streamline patient management and documentation processes.
• A collaborative mindset that values teamwork and multidisciplinary approaches to healthcare.

• A minimum of one year of direct experience in a clinical mental health setting is preferred, demonstrating your capability to handle a variety of therapeutic challenges.
• Experience working in outpatient community health settings and with diverse populations will be considered a plus.
