A MACHINE OPERATOR pilots automated equipment in grinding, cooking, filling or packing, in full respect of Health and Safety rules, food safety, GMP (good manufacturing practices) and environmental practices. This position must actively communicate with adjoining process/packing operators to ensure best production efficiency. 


Requirements:

Safety, Health, & Environmental:

  • Follow all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) in term of safety and environmental, escalate to the leadership when needed. 
  • Systematically respect and use all ergonomics tools to handle product and tools. Seek for support as necessary  
  • Follow all waste sorting rules and management in the area; minimize waste dumping into the drain(s).
  • Manage and respect 5s organization. Keep the work area clean and sanitized.

Roles and Responsibilities: 

  • Run equipment in respective process/packing room.
  • Follow production scheduling and recipes; any deviations need proper approval and/or documentation. 
  • Ensure good quality of manufactured baby food:
  • Appropriate machine adjustment 
  • Follow each step for product manufacturing 
  • Ensure process/packing instructions 
  • Validate product quality at beginning, end and regular interval of the production 
  • Perform quality control checks 
  • Report quality and production results on reports logs at disposal or in the ERP 
  • Introducing data in our ERP system to unsure good inventory management and traceability 
  • Minimize and follow waste in the area:
  • Optimize the usage of materials, reuse, recycle as much as possible following standard procedures 
  • Report quantities and waste
  • Escalate when appropriate 
  • Participate to continuous improvement program for productivity and waste improvements 
  • Participating in the industrialization of new products 
  • Collaborate with Maintenance techs for troubleshooting activities and repairs 
  • Perform 1st maintenance level activities 
  • Perform basic root cause activities such as 5-Why’s and participate to complex troubleshooting activities 
  • Detect, record, and sort all quality and process non-conformities (foreign bodies, equipment breakdown) 
  • Clean equipment / workstations periodically and make sure all CIP rules are followed. 
  • Use chemicals and respects CIP /COP rules (chemical handlings, sequences of operation, time, temperature
  • Perform CIP measurements and record as needed. Ensure cleaning effectiveness (visual inspection, ATP (measurement of sanitation), conductivity. 
  • Serve the role as Remote Attendant under Boiler Remote Variance program.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in food industry or relevant role in the manufacturing industry, ideally in Food, Cosmetic, Pharma or Consumer Goods.
  • Knowledge of environment, hygiene, safety and food safety 
  • Knowledge on quality rules in a manufacturing environment 
  • Ideally , preexisting knowledge of foreign body rules , CCP or proven ability to learn 
  • Capable to perform basic trouble shooting activity 
  • Capable of 1st level maintenance activities 
  • Knowledge on chemicals (acid , caustic , sanitizer) 
  • Capable to use computers screens , HDMI and ERP systems 
  • communication and interpersonal skills
  • Remote attendant certified
