The Systems Planning organization within Global Order Fulfillment is at the center of Lam's ability to deliver predictable, scalable, and responsive operations. By bringing together planning, manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics, Systems Planning ensures that customer demand is translated into clear, executable outcomes across the global factory network.
The impact you'll make
The Kinaxis Subject Matter Expert (SME) serves as the primary business owner and single point of contact (SPOC) for all Kinaxis-related activities supporting the Factory Production Planning (FPP) organization. This role is responsible for driving system adoption, process optimization, break-fix resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance planning effectiveness, data integrity, decision quality, and overall business performance.
Acting as the liaison between Planning, Digital Transformation (DT), IT, and Kinaxis support teams, the SME ensures Kinaxis capabilities align with evolving business requirements and support the delivery of reliable, executable production plans across the global factory network. The role provides leadership in identifying system gaps, prioritizing enhancement opportunities, managing issue resolution, and enabling planners to maximize the value of the Kinaxis platform.
What you'll do
In this role, you will serve as the Kinaxis SME for Factory Production Planning, maximizing the value of the Kinaxis platform through system support, continuous improvement, business-driven reporting and analytics, and cross-functional partnership by:
• Serve as the FPP Kinaxis Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Single Point of Contact (SPOC), providing business ownership, support, and guidance for all Kinaxis-related activities.
• Own the intake, prioritization, communication, and resolution of Kinaxis break-fix issues, partnering with DT, IT, and Kinaxis teams to drive timely resolution and minimize operational disruption.
• Lead continuous improvement (CIP) initiatives by identifying, prioritizing, and implementing system enhancements that improve planning quality, automation, efficiency, and user experience.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance Kinaxis reporting and analytics that enable business decision-making, including reports and dashboards for SRF changes, capacity gaps, available-to-promise (ATP), next available slot, schedule adherence, and planning performance.
• Gather and translate business requirements into system solutions, managing the Kinaxis enhancement backlog and ensuring planning processes, business rules, and data are accurately represented within the platform.
• Coordinate testing, validation, training, and deployment of new capabilities while partnering across Planning, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and DT teams to maximize the value of Kinaxis and support predictable planning outcomes.
Who we're looking for
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, Information Systems, or related field.5+ years of experience in production planning, supply chain planning, manufacturing operations, or related disciplines.
• Demonstrated experience with Kinaxis RapidResponse or equivalent advanced planning systems.
• Strong understanding of production planning, capacity planning, scheduling, MRP, and S&OP processes.
• Experience translating business requirements into system solutions.
• Proven project management and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
• Experience supporting enterprise system implementations and continuous improvement initiatives.
• APICS / ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification preferred
