Job Description:

Airbus Miami | Flight Instructors

The Airbus Training Center (ATC) in Miami provides flight and maintenance crew training for Airbus airline customers worldwide although primarily for those based in the Americas. The custom-designed, 110,000-square-foot complex trains more than 2,000 cadets each year in a range of six full-flight simulators, innovative computer-based training classrooms, and cabin door and slide trainers - all simulating the A320, A330, A340 and A350 XWB families of aircraft. In Miami you'll also find the Airbus Latin America headquarters. A team of 60 employees there provides sales, marketing, contracts, customer support and communications for the region's commercial aircraft, helicopters and space & defence divisions.

Airbus Miami currently has capacity for additional Flight Instructors to deliver training in the simulator. Currently there are both full time and more temporary, part time positions available.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering training while adhering to Airbus standard policy and standardization as required by Airbus Flight Training Operations.

  • Instructing trainees on the various training devices

  • Providing an evaluation of the crews progression

  • Producing a written report and grading of the trainees performance at the end of each session.

  • Determining the necessity to provide extra training in order to achieve the desired level of proficiency.

  • Participating in the improvement and development of training documentation.

Required Skills & Experience:

If you are interested in pursuing this opportunity with Airbus Miami you must meet all of the following requirements:

  • High school graduates who ideally went on to obtain a BS/BA.

  • Obtained 3 years experience operating with an airline.

  • Hold or have held an FAA ATP or Commercial instrument Rating Multi Engine with an Airbus Aircraft. Ideally holding an A320, A330 or A350 type rating.

  • Holding at least 4000 hours total time .

  • A minimum of 1,500 hours in a jet category aircraft

  • A minimum of 1,500 hours a PIC (Pilot in Command)

  • Be able to teach, brief and debrief in fluent English

  • Substantial Simulator Instructor experience as an SFI/TRI on A320 or A330 or A350

  • Able to to write progress reports for submissions to the airlines or authorities
