OverviewAt Atomic Transport, we take pride in being a leading local bulk hauling company based in Chattanooga, TN. With a dedicated fleet of company-owned assets and W2 drivers, we specialize in waste transportation from local transfer stations to landfills. We operate a fleet of over 600 tractors and 900 trailers, including top-tier models from Kenworth, Freightliner, Mack, and Western Star. Our trucks are powered by reliable Cummins X15, MP-8, and DD-13 engines, ensuring performance and efficiency across all operations. With over 25 terminals across the Southeast, Midwest, and West Coast, Atomic Transport is rapidly expanding, and we’re looking for passionate individuals to grow with us. We’re currently seeking a skilled A Tech to join our team. Responsibilities

  • Extensive background knowledge in wiring diagnostics.
  • Effectively diagnose exhaust after-treatment systems.
  • Ability to use diagnostic software to include Cummins Insite and quick servers, Diagnostic-Link, PTT, Allison and Bendix systems.
  • Perform minor and major truck and trailer repairs.
  • Perform roadside service calls.
  • Prioritize and diagnose problems and plan repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of each repair performed.
  • Follow shop safety procedures.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Willing to share your repair skills with other technicians. 

Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Strong technical skills, problem solving abilities, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must pass pre-employment screening (drug test and background check).
  • Must have your own set of basic hand tools (specialty and larger tools will be provided).
  • Class A CDL preferred, but not required.
  • Welding experience required.
