OverviewAt Atomic Transport, we take pride in being a leading waste hauling company. Headquartered in Chattanooga, TN, Atomic Transport specializes in bulk waste transportation from local transfer stations to landfills. We operate a company owned, nationwide fleet of over 700 tractors, 1000 trailers, 100 pieces of heavy equipment. The Atomic fleet includes top-tier models from Kenworth, Freightliner, Mack, and Western Star. Our tractors are powered by Cummins X15, MP-8, and DD-13 engines, ensuring performance and efficiency across all operations. With over 25 terminals from California to the Carolinas, Atomic Transport is rapidly expanding and we’re looking for passionate individuals to grow with us. We’re currently seeking a skilled mechanic to join our team. Responsibilities

  • Perform both minor and major repairs on trucks and trailers.
  • Diagnose and service Exhaust Aftertreatment Systems.
  • Use engine diagnostic software to troubleshoot issues.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and safety checks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Perform road-side service calls as needed.
  • Keep detailed records of maintenance and repairs performed.
  • Provide your own basic hand tools (larger/specialty tools provided).

Requirements

  • Must reside in the greater Phoenix area.
  • Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or technician.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, exhaust systems, and diagnostic tools.
  • Have your own set of basic hand tools.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Pass pre-employment screening (drug test and background check).
