Position Summary

The Product Portfolio Manager, Self-Service & Cash Recycling Solutions is responsible for the strategic leadership, market success, and lifecycle management of the company's ATM and Teller Cash Recycler (TCR) portfolio. This portfolio includes Cash Dispensing ATMs, Full Function ATMs, Cash Recycling ATMs, and Teller Cash Recyclers serving Financial Institutions, as well as TCR solutions supporting select retail market segments.

Serving as the organization's primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for self-service banking and cash recycling technologies, this individual is responsible for defining product strategy, leading market research initiatives, gathering Voice of Customer (VOC) insights, developing strategic product roadmaps, and driving portfolio growth across multiple customer segments.

The Senior Product Manager works closely with Product Leadership, Strategy, Sales, Marketing, Service, Operations, Engineering, and Headquarters (Technology & Network Solutions - TNS) to communicate market requirements, influence product direction, align North American priorities with global product strategies, and support successful product launches and lifecycle management activities.

This highly visible role serves as the voice of the market, translating customer needs and competitive insights into actionable product requirements while supporting strategic customer engagements, executive presentations, and commercial growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Subject Matter Expertise (SME)

  • Serve as the company's primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for:
    • Cash Dispensing ATMs
    • Full Function ATMs
    • Cash Recycling ATMs
    • Teller Cash Recyclers (TCRs)
  • Maintain expert knowledge of cash automation, self-service banking, branch transformation, cash management, and retail cash handling technologies.
  • Provide product expertise to customers, sales teams, executive leadership, channel partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support strategic customer engagements, executive briefings, demonstrations, industry conferences, and partner events.
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, competitive offerings, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies.

Product Strategy & Roadmap Management

  • Define and execute strategic product roadmaps across the ATM and TCR portfolio.
  • Develop short- and long-term portfolio strategies aligned with customer needs, market trends, and business objectives.
  • Identify growth opportunities, market gaps, and emerging customer requirements.
  • Build business cases supporting new product investments, enhancements, and portfolio expansion.
  • Present portfolio strategy, roadmap updates, and investment recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Ensure product direction aligns with profitability, growth, and customer satisfaction objectives.

Voice of Customer (VOC) & Market Research

  • Lead comprehensive Voice of Customer (VOC) programs across Financial Institution and Retail customer segments.

Product Lifecycle Management

  • Own end-to-end lifecycle management across all assigned products.
  • Lead product initiatives from market assessment and business case development through launch, growth, optimization, and end-of-life planning.
  • Define product requirements and prioritize enhancements based on customer needs and business objectives.
  • Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) efforts and launch readiness activities.
  • Monitor product adoption, revenue, profitability, customer satisfaction, and market performance.
  • Develop lifecycle transition and migration strategies to support long-term portfolio success.

Headquarters (TNS) Collaboration

  • Partner with Product Leadership, Strategy, and executive stakeholders to communicate North American market requirements and customer needs to Headquarters (TNS).
  • Support the development and refinement of product specifications, enhancement requests, business requirements, and documentation requests for submission to TNS.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders responsible for strategic engagement with TNS to ensure market needs are clearly represented and prioritized.
  • Contribute market intelligence, VOC findings, competitive insights, and customer feedback that help shape future product direction.
  • Support product roadmap alignment, launch planning, and lifecycle management activities between North America and TNS.
  • Build strong working relationships with TNS stakeholders and participate directly in discussions, planning activities, and product review sessions as business needs require.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable product representative capable of directly engaging with TNS on product strategy, requirements, and portfolio initiatives.

Product Documentation & Knowledge Management

  • Own governance and maintenance of product documentation across the ATM and TCR portfolio.
  • Work closely with Marketing and key TNS contacts to acquire, organize, maintain, and enhance product documentation.
  • Ensure availability and accuracy of:
    • Product specifications
    • Feature documentation
    • Technical documentation
    • Sales materials
    • Training documentation

  • Establish documentation management processes and version control best practices.

  • Attend key banking, fintech, self-service, branch automation, and retail technology conferences to identify emerging market trends and competitive developments.
  • Network with customers, partners, analysts, and industry stakeholders to gather market intelligence and strengthen the company's market presence.
  • Share industry insights and recommendations with leadership to support strategic planning and portfolio investment decisions.
  • Serve as an ambassador for the ATM and TCR portfolio within the financial institution and retail markets.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner with Engineering, Service, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and TNS teams to execute portfolio objectives.
  • Influence product and business decisions through market data, VOC insights, and strategic analysis.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives that improve market competitiveness, customer satisfaction, and portfolio performance.
  • Ensure alignment between customer requirements, business goals, and product investments.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Finance, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 7+ years of Product Management experience with increasing responsibility.
  • 5+ years of experience within financial technology, self-service banking, ATM, branch automation, cash management, retail technology, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated expertise with ATMs, Cash Recycling ATMs, and/or Teller Cash Recyclers.
  • Proven experience developing and executing strategic product roadmaps.
  • Strong Voice of Customer (VOC), market research, and competitive analysis experience.
  • Experience supporting enterprise sales organizations through customer-facing engagements and presentations.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and executive-level influencing skills.
  • Experience working with global product organizations and cross-functional stakeholders.
