Description
Kondex Corporation is looking for an Atmosphere Heat Treat Operator to join the Atmosphere Heat Treat department.
Current Opening on day shift.
All shifts will be 12 hours on 2-2-3 schedule (work two days, have two days off, work three days)
Day shift hours: 6:00 am to 6:00 pm
Hours can fluctuate depending on customer requirements and training needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Set-up and operate atmosphere heat treat equipment.
  • Read recipes and work instructions.
  • Follow established machine settings and parameters.
  • Perform lock-out tag-out on equipment.
  • Perform hardness inspections using Rockwell hardness testers and grinders.
  • Participate in preventative maintenance program for the department and identify maintenance issues for correction.
  • Close orders in computer system.
  • Perform 5S activities within the cell.
  • Assist in training full-time, part-time, and temporary associates in the department.
  • The responsibilities listed above are not all encompassing of what may be asked of associates in this position.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to perform essential job duties or ability to learn the duties.
  • Ability to at times, to work in a hot environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and bend/twist regularly.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Prior experience working with heat treat equipment is preferred.
