Job description

THIS JOB DESCRIPTION DOES NOT ATTEMPT TO LIST ALL OF THE DUTIES THAT ARE OR MAY BE PERFORMED IN THIS POSITION
Primary Duties
1. Maintains and updates gas purchase, transportation and storage agreements within a contractual document repository system, including transportation and sales agreements for all Atmos Energy divisions.
2. Accountable for contractual data entry requirements, including establishing new gas purchases, transportation and storage agreements and making any contractual changes as a result of tariff changes or contractual amendments in the contract billing system.
3. Supports the RFP process, reviews contract language and confirm accuracy. Assures changes to existing purchase agreements comply with established business ethics, the preferred legal requirements of the company and any applicable regulatory requirements.
4. Assists customers, and in certain cases assumes lead role, in the resolution of contractual and/or purchasing conflict issues with the suppliers to resolve issues in a manner consistent with the needs of the customer, in compliance with the terms and conditions of the agreement and in a manner exhibiting good business judgment and fairness.
5. Provides data analyses as needed. Assists in the preparation and maintenance of data analytics or reporting associated with gas transportation and storage agreements.
6. Maintains communication with suppliers and pipeline customers to assure the billing system, and any other contractor information databases are current and accurate to assure timely payments to our customers.
7. Interfaces with various internal groups, including Legal, Accounting, Treasury, IT, Gas Scheduling, Gas Control and Gas Measurement to assure compliance with contracts.
8. Brings technical subject matter expertise to the Contract Administration organization to better interact with and coordinate contracting strategies with the technical organizations within Atmos Energy.
9. Provides timely responses to the materials and service needs of the client, utilizing standard procurement documents, where applicable, and formulating custom documents when necessary.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATIONAL/ EXPERIENCE LEVEL:
A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Management, or related field with a minimum of four years progressively responsible related experience in operation, gas transportation, maintenance or construction as related to the natural gas utility industry; or equivalent.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Requires the ability to provide explanations of technical or other complex matters to people with little or no background in the area under discussion.
NUMERIC SKILLS:
Requires the ability to perform analyses involving ratios, percentages and simple statistical methods and/or make calculations to reconcile financial statements and accounts.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Requires basic computer skills to create standardized documents, reports, or graphics using various software.
PHYSCIAL DEMANDS:
Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and/or lifting.
WORK CONDITIONS:
Works in an office environment.
