Job description

deciBel Research has an immediate opening for an Enterprise Tools Administrator in Huntsville, AL.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Support the establishment and ongoing operations of a Project Management Office (PMO) for enterprise software delivery and governance
  • Configure, administer, and maintain an integrated tool suite supporting agile delivery, portfolio management, and software lifecycle management
  • Design and configure projects, workflows, permission schemes, and system settings to align with evolving delivery practices
  • Develop and maintain automations, dashboards, and reporting solutions to support program visibility and performance tracking
  • Implement and support system integrations across the tool ecosystem
  • Provide operational support and troubleshooting for end users across multiple teams
  • Translate functional requirements into scalable technical configurations
  • Collaborate with senior engineering staff to align implementations with architectural, security, and integration standards
  • Continuously improve tooling processes, governance practices, and system performance

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Program Management, or related field.

Experience Requirements:

  • 5โ€“8 years of professional experience supporting enterprise software tools, application administration, or software delivery environments
  • Hands-on experience administering and configuring Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) or equivalent platforms
  • Ability to design, develop, configure, and administer Microsoft 365 collaboration solutions, with particular emphasis on SharePoint and Teams, to support document management, information governance, and cross-functional team collaboration
  • Experience configuring projects, workflows, issue types, permission schemes, and screen schemes
  • Experience developing workflow automations, custom fields, and business rules
  • Experience building reports, dashboards, and metrics to support Agile delivery and portfolio visibility
  • Experience supporting or maintaining system integrations between collaboration tools and other enterprise systems
  • Ability to translate functional or user requirements into technical configurations
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a multi-team environment
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating with senior engineers and stakeholders

Special Skills Desired:

  • Experience supporting a PMO or portfolio management environment
  • Familiarity with integrated software lifecycle management practices
  • Experience supporting DoD, federal government, or highly regulated environments
  • Experience supporting Agile software delivery teams and understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Basic scripting experience (e.g., Python) to support automation and integrations
  • Experience with plugin/add-on configuration and app management
  • Familiarity with security controls, role-based access models, and compliance requirements
  • Experience supporting tool migrations, upgrades, or enterprise-scale implementations
  • Atlassian certifications (e.g., ACP) or equivalent platform certifications
  • Experience working in a DevSecOps environment
