How You Will Make an Impact:

The Materials Analyst is responsible for managing and optimizing material flow across Atlas Energy's operations. This role supports procurement and inventory control by analyzing data, forecasting needs, and ensuring timely availability of materials to meet operational demands.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze maintenance schedules and historical usage to forecast material requirements.
  • Monitor inventory levels and recommend adjustments to avoid shortages or overstocking.
  • Conduct regular audits of material inventories and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records in ERP systems (Epicor and Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Develop and maintain min/max inventory thresholds aligned with operational goals.
  • Collaborate with the sourcing and procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Track supplier performance and escalate issues impacting material availability.
  • Assist in evaluating alternative materials or suppliers to reduce cost and improve reliability.
  • Generate reports and dashboards to track material usage, inventory turnover, and cost trends.
  • Support special projects such as warehouse optimization and vendor transitions.
  • Other duties as assigned

 Qualifications

  • Required:
    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
    • 3 + years of experience in materials planning, inventory control, or procurement analytics.
    • Proficiency in ERP systems (Epicor, Dynamics) and Excel-based analysis.
    • Strong understanding of oilfield operations and material requirements.
    • Strong computer skills are a must (Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Preferred:
    • APICS or CPIM certification.
    • Experience with frac sand logistics, mining operations, or industrial maintenance.
    • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies.
    • Power BI based report building and data analysis

  • Reports To: Procurement Ops Manager
