About the Role:
Atlas Medical Consultants is looking for a passionate and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our growing team in Bakersfield, CA. Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, physical exams, and diagnostic evaluations
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans and treatment protocols
  • Prescribe medications, therapies, and follow-up care in accordance with state regulations
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Document patient encounters accurately and thoroughly in the EMR/EHR system
  • Educate patients and families on health management, preventive care, and treatment options
  • Monitor and manage chronic conditions, acute illnesses, and post-procedural care
Requirements:
  • Active Nurse Practitioner license and certification (FNP, AGNP, or relevant specialty)
  • Current California NP licensure or ability to obtain prior to start date
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP) from an accredited program
  • DEA registration and prescriptive authority in the state of California
  • 1+ years of clinical NP experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical backgrounds encouraged to apply
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR/EMR) systems
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills
  • BLS/ACLS certification required
