Job description

Annual Salary: $150k-$200k (varies depending on years of experience) We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our client s community health team. In this role, you will provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for a diverse patient population, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support whole-person care. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician who values serving underserved communities and making a meaningful impact in behavioral health.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and evaluations for patients of varying ages and backgrounds. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and therapeutic interventions. Provide ongoing psychiatric care, monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment as needed.

Collaborate with primary care providers, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care. Offer crisis intervention and stabilization support when necessary. Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and wellness strategies.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR). Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives. Stay current with evidence-based practices and developments in psychiatry.

Qualifications: MD or DO with board certification/eligibility in Psychiatry. Active and unrestricted medical license in New York. Experience working in community health, outpatient, or integrated care settings preferred.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively with diverse populations. Commitment to patient-centered, culturally competent care.
