Job Title: Buffet Host/Cashier

Salary: $20.00/hourly

Shift: Days, Swing

Monarch Casino Resort in Black Hawk is a 23 story resort with over 500 rooms, 4 restaurants, and the one of the country's top spa.  The Monarch Casino Resort Spa is looking for a passionate Restaurant Host to join our team!  You will thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment that exceeds the expectations of our guests and Team Members.  

Responsibilities
  • Guest Interaction: Greets guests upon arrival, thanks them for dining, and engages in friendly conversation while learning their names.
  • Front-of-House Responsibilities: Maintains a neat environment, seats guests, takes initial drink orders, and assists with opening and closing tasks.
  • Administrative Duties: Answers phones, schedules large party reservations, validates coupons, and manages cash and payment transactions.
  • Support Tasks: Assists with bussing tables, maintaining cleanliness, and operating registers and credit card terminals.
  • Additional Duties: Rewrites menu boards, keeps records of guests per server, and performs other assigned tasks as needed.
Qualifications
  • Experience and Skills: Preferably has 1 year of cash handling experience and strong general mathematical skills; basic to intermediate computer knowledge required.
  • Team Player: Works well with others, offers assistance when needed, and maintains a positive attitude in a high-volume, loud, and dynamic environment.
  • Guest Service: Demonstrates excellent communication and guest service skills, with the ability to speak, write, and understand English effectively.
  • Physical Requirements: Capable of standing for most of the shift, bending, stooping, using hands continuously, and lifting/pushing up to 45 lbs.
  • Flexibility and Compliance: Available to work various shifts including weekends and holidays, and must pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen.
