Job Description
General Scope of Duties
Looking for individuals who want to work part time, nights and weekends. Will coordinate the supervision of the Athletic Center and assist in executing its schedule with emphasis on the multi-purpose courts in the Charles B. Luce Field House. This person will oversee the athletic center monitors and work with them to control access to the facility. Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish rapport with students and other approved users of the Athletic Center is a must. General responsibility includes communication with all groups regarding the schedule for the courts, oversight of the facility by periodic walk-throughs, and closing the Athletic Center. Flexible schedule.
General Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist and provide direction to student employees to ensure controlled access to the facility.
  • Work with athletic center manager to communicate daily schedule to users.
  • Work with operations director on daily student monitor schedule and attendance.
  • Execute the daily schedule for the athletic center spaces by communication with each group.
  • Ensure the safety and comfort of all affiliated users by walk-throughs and intermittent ID checks.
  • Meet periodically with director of athletics and/or athletic center manager and/or operations director to discuss supervision strategies.
  • Demonstrate ethical behavior in regards to work duties and in relationships with students and members of the campus community.
  • Maintain a safe, clean environment in all facilities.
  • Follow athletic center closing protocols and collaborate with Campus Safety to secure the facilities each night.

Education and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred) with strong consideration given to those who have a degree in a related field. 3+ years of demonstrated experience with similar responsibly a plus.
  • Current certification in CPR and First Aide, will train.
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in an emergency situation
  • Ability to interact well with a variety of people from all aspects of the College and community
