We are looking for friendly, outgoing individuals to join our team as Athletics Retail Sales Associates at our Boise store. As a member of the Al's team, you'll play a key role in creating a welcoming and positive shopping experience for every customer.
At Al's, we carry top-tier athletic gear for everyone-from little league sluggers to seasoned pickleball pros. Working with the top brands in the industry, the ideal candidate is knowledgeable and eager to share their expertise and passion to help customers find the gear they need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a positive customer experience through fair, friendly, and courteous service.
  • Greet and assist customers in an engaging and helpful manner.
  • Offer knowledgeable recommendations based on customers' athletic needs.
  • Become familiar with merchandise to provide accurate and efficient product information.

Qualifications
Required
  • Flexible availability with the ability to work all mandatory sales events, including evenings and weekends.
  • Comfortable approaching customers and initiating conversations.
  • Strong interest or background in sports, fitness, or athletic gear.
  • Experience participating in or supporting team sports (such as baseball, basketball, softball, soccer, or lacrosse) is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Well-developed organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude, high energy, and a strong sense of urgency.
  • Team-oriented and able to work effectively with others.
  • Able to provide quick and accurate product, sales, and pricing information.
  • Committed to maintaining cleanliness and safety on the sales floor.
  • Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
  • Must be at least 16 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to lift 25+ lbs.
  • Must be able to meet all physical requirements necessary to complete job responsibilities.

    • What is the schedule for this job?
    • The schedule for this position includes day and evening shifts Monday through Saturday between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM, with open availability required on Saturdays. Shifts are available in 4-, 6-, and 8-hour blocks.
      This can be a full-time or part-time role, with hours ranging from 18 to 40 per week. Weekend and holiday availability is required, and shifts may vary within the general timeframe of 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM. We particularly need team members available for evening shifts.
