Primary Care Physician (Internal Medicine or Family Medicine) — Full-Time

Full-Time | Outpatient Primary Care | Value-Based Care | Exceptional Work-Life Balance

A nationally recognized, value-based healthcare organization in Anchorage, AK is seeking a Board-Certified Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician to join its collaborative primary care team. This is an outstanding opportunity for physicians who are passionate about preventive medicine, relationship-based care, and improving long-term patient outcomes.

Providers are supported by an interdisciplinary care team, including an onsite Health Coach, allowing physicians to focus on delivering comprehensive, whole-person care rather than high-volume patient visits.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $232,506 – $348,758 annually

Schedule

  • Full-time outpatient schedule
  • 10–15 patients per day
  • Appointment lengths ranging from 20–60 minutes
  • Shared regional after-hours call rotation
  • No routine inpatient responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary care services for adult patients
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
  • Focus on preventive medicine and long-term wellness
  • Develop personalized treatment plans using a whole-person approach
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team, including Health Coaches
  • Perform physical examinations, diagnostic testing, and medication management
  • Utilize onsite laboratory and pharmacy services to streamline patient care
  • Participate in population health initiatives and quality improvement programs
  • Engage patients in wellness visits, chronic disease management, and preventive screenings
  • Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation
  • Participate in provider meetings, committee work, and process improvement initiatives
  • Help achieve organizational goals related to quality, patient engagement, and clinical outcomes

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree
  • Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
  • Completion of an accredited Family Medicine or Internal Medicine residency
  • Minimum of 3 years of primary care experience
  • Active, unrestricted medical license (or ability to obtain licensure)
  • Current DEA registration
  • Negative Tuberculosis (TB) test within 12 months of start date
  • Experience working in a team-based care environment
  • Experience with electronic medical records (Athena experience preferred)
  • Experience with coding, documentation, Medicare Advantage, and HCC coding preferred
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace preferred
