Job description

The Host is responsible for managing the flow of the dining room, welcoming guests, coordinating reservations, and ensuring every guest receives outstanding hospitality from arrival to departure. Successful candidates are organized, confident under pressure, and excellent communicators who thrive in a fast-paced fine-dining environment.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome every guest warmly and professionally.
  • Manage reservations using our reservation platform.
  • Coordinate seating to maximize guest experience and restaurant flow.
  • Maintain accurate waitlists and provide realistic wait times.
  • Answer telephone calls professionally and assist with reservations and guest inquiries.
  • Communicate effectively with managers, servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff.
  • Escort guests to their tables while providing menu information when appropriate.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming host stand.
  • Complete opening, side work, and closing duties.
  • Uphold Duemani’s hospitality and appearance standards at all times.

Qualifications

  • Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Experience with reservation systems (OpenTable, Resy, or similar) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
