POSITION SUMMARY:
The Accreditation Coordinator oversees the Health Sciences Institute at Renaissance accreditation process to ensure compliance with institutional standards and regulatory requirements and associated Federal and State regulatory requirements. The Accreditation Coordinator role involves coordinating program evaluations, managing data collection and reporting, supporting self-studies and reviews, and collaborating with faculty and administrators to maintain accreditation status and drive continuous improvement. The Accreditation Coordinator coordinates with Administration, Directors, and the Program Manager to identify the educational needs of the students.
POSITION EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School/GED required
  • Bachelors in Education, accreditation, librarian or related field
  • Experience working in accreditation or higher education administration, with knowledge of accreditation standards and processes, preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills required, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in document management and report preparation.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards in accreditation activities.
  • Computer skills required with knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, and good working knowledge of Excel.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Bilingual - English/Spanish.

Responsibilities:
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee all aspects of the accreditation process, including coordinating accreditation self-studies, preparing accreditation reports and managing site visits.
• Monitor changes in accreditation standards and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance and timely submission of required documentation.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for accreditation agencies, facilitating communication and providing necessary information, documentation and reporting.
• Compile, review, and organize documentation required for accreditation reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare comprehensive accreditation reports in collaboration with relevant departments and stakeholders, highlighting institutional achievements and addressing areas for improvement.
• Maintain records of accreditation activities, including documentation of outcomes and follow-up actions.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and administrators across departments to gather data and information necessary for accreditation reports.
• Facilitate meetings and workshops to educate stakeholders about accreditation standards, requirements, and expectations.
• Communicate accreditation updates and deadlines to relevant parties and provide guidance on compliance measures.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accreditation processes and improve efficiency in documentation collection and reporting.
• Implement best practices in accreditation management and share recommendations for enhancing intuitional effectiveness.
• Participate in post-accreditation reviews to assess the effectiveness of accreditation requirements and identify areas to enhance.
• Coordinate all aspects of the accreditation process for the Health sciences Institute at Renaissance, including but not limited to scheduling visits, preparing materials, providing administrative support for visit meetings, editing reports, maintaining records, and responding to inquiries.
• Evaluate school documentation for compliance with established standards, as well as provide consultative guidance and feedback to coordination boards with respect to the application of standards at the practical level.
• Prepare draft correspondence (Commission Action Letters) to coordinating boards summarizing action plans to the Commission's accreditation decisions.
• Assist with additional accreditation initiatives, determined through consultation with coordinating boards, based on organizational need.

CUSTOMER SERVICE:
Provide excellent customer service to all DHR customers. All employees are required to attend the DHR C.A.R.E.S program which outlines the Customer Service Principals including: Commitment, Accountability, Respect, Excellence and Service.
AGE SPECIFIC:
Employees must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in his/her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirement relative to his or her age.

B. Working Conditions: The individual spends over 95% of his/her time in an air-conditioned environment with varying exposures to noise. There is protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. The position does have low exposure to malodorous, infectious body fluids from patients and some minimal exposure to noxious smells from cleansing agents.
C. Occupational Exposure: This position has minimal to no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues and is an OSHA Category III (although situations can be imagined or hypothesized under which anyone, anywhere, might encounter potential exposure to body fluids). Person who performs these duties are not called upon as part of their employment to perform or assist in emergency medical care or first aid or to be potentially exposed in some other way.
