Job description

Who are we hiring?
The Blue Crew On-Ice serves as a game day ambassador and entertainer, helping deliver an engaging and memorable fan experience at Rangers home games and special events. This role is responsible for supporting on-ice activities during game stoppages, assisting with in-game promotions and contests, interacting with fans and participants, and representing the New York Rangers organization at community, promotional, and charitable events. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled skater with a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a passion for creating exceptional experiences for fans of all ages.

What will you do? 

  • Responsible for on ice maintenance during TV timeouts at Rangers home games 
  • Assist the broader NY Rangers Event Presentation team with contests, signage, and contestants 
  • Communicate directly with contestants and groups during Rangers home games 
  • Work with other entertainers on special performances and on-ice presentations as needed 
  • Represent the Rangers at special events, viewing parties, clinics / camps, charity events and promotional engagements, both internally and externally 
  • Provide exceptional experiences for our guests, partners, and team members, including by adhering to our appearance and presentation guidelines while on-site.  

What will you need to suceed?

  • High level of ice-skating ability (i.e. college level) 
  • Knowledge of NHL rules and regulations 
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment 
  • Enjoy entertaining in a family-oriented environment, and be able to interact with large crowds, small groups and individuals, especially children 
  • Be punctual 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with team player attitude 
  • Professional and respectful communication skills 
  • Skilled ability to follow verbal and written directions 
  • Excellent attention to detail 
  • Flexible evening and weeknight scheduling availability preferred
