Digital Marketing Director

J & J Exterminating of Lafayette, Inc.

Lafayette, LA • On-site

Full-time

Posted 14 days ago

Job description

Description:

About Us

We're a fast-growing, multi-location home services company specializing in pest control and termite

control treatments and services, with 300+ team members and an expanding footprint across Louisiana and Texas. Built on strong operational excellence and trusted service, J&J Exterminating is proudly ranked in the Top 100 Pest Control Companies in the nation!

About the Role

We're hiring a Digital Marketing Director to own our entire digital performance engine — the budget,

the channels, and the specialist teams and agency partners behind them — across both residential (B2C) and commercial (B2B) segments. Success here is measured in numbers: lead volume, revenue growth, and measurable ROI.

This is a hands-on, deeply technical seat for a leader fluent in Google Ads, Local Services Ads (LSAs), SEO/GEO, and the fast-moving world of AI search. If you geek out over keyword strategy, bid mechanics, ROAS, and LLM visibility, we want to talk. The role is primarily in-office at our Lafayette home office; greater Lafayette area candidates are strongly preferred, with candidates from our other Louisiana markets — Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Lake Charles, and Crowley — close behind.

What You'll Own

Paid Media &Performance Growth

  • Full-funnel digital strategy across B2C and B2B — Google Ads, LSAs, paid search aggregators, display, and programmatic.
  • The full marketing budget and its core KPIs: cost per lead, ROAS, conversion rates, and lead attribution.
  • Seasonal campaigns timed to peak pest cycles across every market.

SEO, GEO & Local Search

  • SEO and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategy, including visibility in Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and other LLM search results.
  • Google Business Profiles and Apple Business Connect listings for every branch — local pack rankings, reviews, and map traffic.

Website, Email & Campaigns

  • Website strategy, development, and CMS optimization to support SEO/GEO, conversion rates, and multi-location needs.
  • Email marketing programs — nurture, retention, and reactivation — with strong segmentation.
  • Integrated campaigns, developed with the team on creative and messaging.

Attribution & Reporting

  • A marketing attribution system connecting CRM, call tracking, and all digital channels for accurate lead-source and ROI visibility.
  • Performance reporting to leadership on channel performance, spend efficiency, and lead flow.

Team & Agency Management

  • Specialist teams and agency partners across paid search, SEO, analytics, and campaign execution.
  • Evaluation and adoption of AI tools, platform updates, and new technology as search evolves
Requirements:

What You Bring

  • 6+ years in digital marketing, including 3+ years leading paid media, SEO, and analytics.
  • 2+ years of client-side (in-house) experience preferred — home services experience is a plus.
  • Deep hands-on command of Google Ads, LSAs, SEO/GEO tools, Google Analytics, Tag Manager, keyword strategy, bid management, performance reporting, and attribution.
  • A track record of scaling digital channels, proving ROI, and leading cross-functional teams in multi-location or service-based businesses.
  • Insatiable curiosity about algorithm changes, emerging platforms, and AI-powered search.
  • An owner's mentality — you want to own results, not just manage vendors.
  • Greater Lafayette area candidates strongly preferred — this is a primarily in-office role at our Lafayette home office. Candidates in our other Louisiana markets (Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Lake Charles, Crowley) are also encouraged to apply.
