Pattern

Lehi, UT

Full-time

Re-posted 23 days ago

Job description

Are you obsessed with data, partner success, taking action, and changing the game? If you have a whole lot of hustle and a touch of nerd, come work with Pattern! We want you to use your skills to push one of the fastest-growing companies in Lehi, to the top of the list.

Pattern is the premier partner for global ecommerce acceleration and is headquartered in Utah's Silicon Slopes tech hub—with offices in Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle East, and North America. Valued at $2 billion+, Pattern has been named one of the fastest growing tech companies in North America by Deloitte and one of best-led companies in America by Inc. More than 100 global brands—like Nestle, Sylvania, Kong, Panasonic, Sorel, and Pandora—rely on Pattern's global ecommerce acceleration platform, to scale their business around the world. We place employee experience at the center of our business model and have been recognized as one of America's Most Loved Workplaces®.

The Senior Marketplace Manager owns Pattern brand partner go-to-market strategy end to end — including building out Pattern's presence across emerging marketplaces from the ground up, creating the playbooks and partner relationships as you go rather than inheriting someone else's. If you are great at nurturing partner relationships, developing and executing business plans, supporting a team of ecommerce professionals, and increasing operational efficiencies, we want you to apply! These efforts extend across a variety of selling platforms including Amazon Mexico, Mercado Libre, Walmart.com, Target.com, Kohl's, eBay, and others, with a primary focus on Walmart.com and Target.com. Marketplace diversification is one of Pattern's top strategic priorities, and this role sits at the center of it — the platforms you build out today will shape Pattern's ecommerce business for years to come. This is a full time role that works a hybrid schedule (60% in office each week) based in Lehi, Utah.

What is a day in the life of a Senior Marketplace Manager?
  • Lead the development and implementation of brand-specific marketplace selling strategies

  • Serve as the marketplace expert with a deep knowledge of platform, capabilities and business levers

  • Evaluate competitive landscape and develop strategies to maximize business growth

  • Lead all Walmart and Target weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance meetings with brand partners

  • Deliver the highest levels of operational execution

  • Partner with Operations team to ensure optimal in-stock and inventory position

  • Partner with Advertising team to develop brand-specific advertising strategies

  • Identify strategic opportunities and operational improvements to enhance performance — building the process where none exists yet

  • Help brands expand and diversify their ecommerce strategy across new platforms, directly shaping how Pattern grows its marketplace footprint

  • Help shape Pattern's expansion into new marketplaces, often being the first person at Pattern to establish the partner relationship and go-to-market approach

What will I need to thrive in this role?
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related program

  • Experience leading .com or marketplace commercial efforts (Walmart.com, Target.com, eBay, etc.)

  • Proven track record of successfully managing and scaling an eCommerce business

  • Outstanding analytical and data management skills

  • Self-motivated,and proactive, with comfort operating with ambiguity in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

  • Experience with omni-channel selling

  • High ethical standards

What does high performance look like?
  • You follow through with all assignments in a timely manner

  • You give 100% to all tasks and projects you are given

  • You actively comment and participate in group collaborations

  • You take full ownership of your projects and follow through to completion, treating the channel like it's yours to grow

  • You are detail-oriented, and organized

What is the team like?
You will work with other Marketplace Managers and be supervised by the Associate Director of Marketplaces. This team is data driven and results oriented, and moves fast and isn't afraid to try something new — ideas and input are encouraged from all members, regardless of tenure. You will collaborate regularly with members of your team and with the marketplace business units at Walmart (US, Canada, Mexico), Amazon (Canada, Mexico, Brazil) Target, eBay, Kohl's, Macy's, Mercado Libre and more. This team is central to Pattern's strategy for diversifying revenue beyond any single platform, and the work you do here has real, visible impact on the company's future. If you want the autonomy of a startup with the resources and partner network of an industry leader, this is that environment.
What is the hiring process?
  • Initial phone interview with Pattern's talent acquisition team

  • Video interview with hiring manager

  • Zoom call with our VP of Emerging Marketplaces

  • Professional reference checks

  • Executive review
