Job description

Description
If serving others is part of who you are, we'd love to meet you.
Some people answer phones.
Others build trust, solve problems before they're asked, and make every customer feel like they're the only customer that matters.
We're looking for the second kind.
At DMP, we've been designing and manufacturing innovative electronic security solutions in Springfield, Missouri, since 1975. As a family-owned company, we've built our reputation by delivering quality products backed by exceptional support. Our dealers rely on us every day, and our Customer Success team plays a huge role in keeping that promise. Our commitment to quality, innovation and responsive service is at the heart of everything we do.
What you'll do
This isn't a call center job where you're only measured by how quickly you get someone off the phone.
Your job is to create an outstanding experience every time someone reaches out. Sometimes that means entering an order. Sometimes it means helping troubleshoot a question. Sometimes it means following up before a customer even realizes they need help.
You'll spend your day:
  • Answering customer questions by phone, email and chat
  • Entering customer orders accurately and efficiently
  • Providing order status updates
  • Helping customers understand DMP products and services
  • Processing returns and warranty claims
  • Supporting sales territories when a sales representative is unavailable
  • Updating customer information in our CRM
  • Following up to ensure issues are fully resolved
  • Building relationships that create loyal customers

No two days look exactly the same, and that's one of the things our team enjoys most.
Who succeeds here
We're much more interested in your mindset than your rรฉsumรฉ.
Yes, experience in customer service is great. But we've also hired incredible people from restaurants, retail, hospitality and other service-focused careers because they genuinely enjoy helping others.
The people who thrive on our team:
  • Look for ways to help before they're asked.
  • Follow through on every commitment.
  • Stay calm when problems arise.
  • Communicate with kindness and professionalism.
  • Enjoy learning new products and solving problems.
  • Pay attention to the small details because they know they matter.
  • Take ownership instead of waiting for someone else to solve the issue.
  • Believe every interaction is an opportunity to strengthen a relationship.

If you've ever been the person who noticed what someone needed before they asked, you'll probably fit in well here.
Whether you're an experienced customer service professional or just beginning your career, we're interested in people with the right attitude, strong character and a desire to grow.
What you'll find at DMP
You'll join a Customer Success team of about ten people working together across customer service, reception, outbound sales and support. We collaborate, help one another and celebrate wins together because our success depends on delivering an exceptional experience to every customer.
This is a full-time, in-person position based at our Springfield, Missouri headquarters.
If this sounds like you...
If you're looking for more than "just another customer service job"-if you want to be part of a team that values service, ownership, continuous learning and doing the right thing-we'd love to hear from you.
Come help us create customers who know they're valued every time they interact with DMP.
