What is an at home chat advisor?

An At Home Chat Advisor is a customer service professional who works remotely, providing support to customers through online chat platforms. Their main responsibilities include answering customer inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and assisting with product or service questions in real-time. Unlike phone-based support roles, chat advisors communicate exclusively through text, making strong written communication skills essential. Many companies hire At Home Chat Advisors to offer flexible support to their customers while allowing employees to work from home.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an at home chat advisor?

To thrive as an At Home Chat Advisor, you need excellent written communication skills, fast and accurate typing, and typically a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with customer support platforms, live chat systems, and CRM software is often required. Strong problem-solving abilities, patience, and the ability to multitask effectively make someone stand out in this role. These skills are crucial for providing prompt, clear, and helpful assistance to customers in a remote environment, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty.

What are some typical challenges at home chat advisors face, and how can they be managed effectively?

At Home Chat Advisors often encounter challenges such as handling multiple conversations simultaneously, managing high volumes of inquiries during peak times, and accurately interpreting customer needs without visual cues. To be successful, it’s important to develop strong multitasking skills, practice clear written communication, and use available resources or scripts efficiently. Many companies also provide training and support forums, which help advisors stay updated and connected with their remote teams while troubleshooting complex issues.

Who We Are
We Didn't Just Rethink PT. We Rebuilt It Around You.
You became a PT to help people-not to sprint through stacked schedules or meet productivity quotas.
That's why we built Kins: a model that puts you back in control. Here, you treat one patient at a time-for a full hour-so you can deliver the kind of care you were trained to give. You set your schedule. You shape your caseload. And you earn more by focusing on better care, not more visits.
This is physical therapy reimagined-so you can make a real impact, build the career you want, and finally practice on your terms.
Pay
  • $75-$83/hour
  • uncapped referral bonus program of $750 for every physical therapist you refer after they complete 30 visits with Kins
The Ideal CandidateKins is looking for a skilled physical therapist who is passionate about changing the status quo in outpatient physical therapy. The ideal candidate will deliver high value care through a hybrid blend of in-home and virtual treatment sessions. If you take ownership over your schedule, communicate effectively, and have strong time management skills, this is a great opportunity for you!
Qualifications
  • Current Licensed Physical Therapist in New York State
  • Completed state regulated CEU requirement in NYS
  • BLS certification
  • Commit to a minimum of 4 visits/week
  • Demonstrated excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Excited to build and deliver a new model for achieving better clinical outcomes
  • Creative and flexible, but always puts the patient first
  • Excellent at forging successful and respectful relationships with the entire team
  • New grads are welcome to apply!
  • Job Type: 1099 independent contractor
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, assess progress and provide plan of care and exercise prescription for patient caseload
  • Consistently ensure a world-class level of clinical care and patient experience
  • Document all treatments in our EMR
  • Communicate via chat and phone with patients and/or providers as needed

If you are ready to enjoy more flexibility in your work schedule, earn increased pay, and become a key part of our journey, we would love to hear from you! Apply today and help us reimagine physical therapy!
