Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive physical therapy treatment plans to enhance mobility, alleviate pain, and restore functional abilities based on each patient's specific needs and physician recommendations.
  • Provide oversight and guidance to Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring adherence to care plans and implementing quality control measures to maintain high standards of therapy.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients’ physical capabilities through diagnostic testing, including assessments of muscle, joint, and functional abilities, to identify areas of improvement.
  • Assess patients' home environments, making tailored recommendations to optimize conditions that facilitate rehabilitation and promote independence.
  • Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and utilize physical agents such as traction and massage to support patient recovery.
  • Evaluate and recommend adjustments for prosthetic and orthotic devices, ensuring effective fit and function.
  • Maintain detailed clinical records, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries to track patient progress and inform ongoing treatment.
  • Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans and collaboratively address evolving patient needs.
  • Conduct educational sessions for patients and their families regarding physical therapy procedures and the use of assistive devices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals of all ages requiring rehabilitation services to improve physical function and enhance quality of life following surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions. Qualifications
  • A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
  • An active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida, with a history demonstrating no sanctions or disciplinary actions.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
  • Strong command of contemporary physical therapy techniques and best practices, supported by current research.
Preferred Experience
