Responsibilities and Duties

  • Mobility Assistance: Expertly assisting with safe patient handling, transferring, and positioning throughout the home.

  • Homemaking Excellence: Maintaining a safe, sanitary environment through light housekeeping, including vacuuming, sanitizing surfaces, laundry, and linen changes.

  • Nutritional Support: Meal planning and preparation according to specialized dietary instructions and hydration goals.

  • Transportation & Advocacy: Providing reliable escort services for errands, grocery shopping, and essential medical appointments.

  • Personal Hygiene Care: Dignified assistance with bathing, showering, dressing, grooming, and shaving/perineal care.

  • Medication Management: Providing timely medication reminders and monitoring for changes in condition.

  • Therapeutic Support: Assisting with prescribed range of motion (ROM) exercises to improve client outcomes.

  • Specialized Dementia Care: Implementing memory care techniques and cognitive engagement for clients with Alzheimer’s or related dementias.

  • Companion Care: Enhancing quality of life through person-centered companionship, music therapy, puzzles, and meaningful social interaction.

 Caregiver Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred.

  • Must be able to lift/move 50 lbs without assistance 

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job

  • Possess a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance

  • Pass a background check

  • CNA license, Home Health Aide, Personal Care Aide certification preferred
