Hospitalists of Modesto Medical Group, Inc. is a private hospitalist group with two practice locations. We employ over 60 physicians and allied health professionals. The group was founded in 1997 and has been independently practicing in Modesto since.
We offer a stable, established, locally managed group. Our group is very collegial, and offers flexible scheduling. We have dedicated nocturnists and a day team with no requirements to switch back and forth. Both hospitals we practice at have very supportive administration that we work closely with.
The intensivist team is part of our group as well as a Palliative Care physician.
Our practice locations are as follows:
DOCTORS MEDICAL CENTER, MODESTO, CA
DMC is a 461-bed multi-specialty community hospital that serves as a regional transfer center. In the last several years the hospital has become the region's only Comprehensive Stroke Center, has started doing ECMO, and has about every specialist practicing here. The ICU is mostly closed and staffed by our intensivists. Procedures are not required, but you are welcome to do them if you like. Plans for the future include advancing to a Level 1 Trauma Center and adding a Surgical Residency Program.
EMANUEL MEDICAL CENTER, TURLOCK, CA
EMC is a 209-bed community hospital. Typically EMC has about half the census as DMC for the hospitalist group, but is still a robust, busy service. This hospital is a sister hospital to DMC so a lot of staff go back and forth and has a consistent environment. EMC is a beautiful, peaceful campus with plant-filled courtyards.
