Job description

Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Teacher Pool

  • Intensive Behavioral Intervention (IBI), Inclusion/Support Facilitation, and Modified Curriculum Programs
  • Elementary, Middle, and High School Opportunities
  • Location: Districtwide Opportunities (Elementary, Middle, and High Schools)
  • Position Type: Instructional

Position Summary

Collier County Public Schools is seeking highly qualified educators to join our ESE Teacher Pool for current and future vacancies across the district. This posting will be used to identify and screen candidates for positions serving students through a variety of ESE service delivery models, including:

  • Intensive Behavioral Intervention (IBI)
  • Inclusion/Support Facilitation
  • Modified Curriculum (MC I, II, III)

Placement opportunities may be available at elementary, middle, and high school locations and will vary based on school needs, certification requirements, program assignment, and candidate qualifications.

Teachers in these roles provide specialized instruction, accommodations, behavioral supports, and individualized services to students with disabilities in accordance with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Selected candidates may be considered for immediate placements and for future vacancies throughout the school year as staffing needs arise across the district.

This posting is intended to establish a pool of qualified candidates and may be used to fill multiple vacancies throughout the school year.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must hold or be eligible for Florida certification in:

  • Exceptional Student Education (K-12); and
  • One of the following:
    • Elementary Education (K-6); or
    • An appropriate secondary core academic certification, including but not limited to:
      • English
      • Mathematics
      • Science
      • Social Science

Specific certification requirements may vary based on the position, school level, and assignment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with students with disabilities in ESE settings
  • Experience providing instruction in Inclusion, Modified Curriculum, and/or Intensive Behavioral Intervention settings
  • Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
  • Understanding of differentiated instruction and evidence-based interventions
  • Experience implementing behavior support strategies and positive behavioral interventions
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
