Elementary School Teacher

Position Title: Elementary School Teacher
Location: Gotha, FL (West Side of Orlando, near Winter Garden, Windermere)
Employment Type: Full-Time

We are a small, student-centered elementary school committed to providing a nurturing, engaging, and academically rigorous learning environment. With class sizes capped at 12 students, our teachers have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with students and provide individualized instruction that supports academic, social, and emotional growth.

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Elementary School Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about fostering a love of learning, creating a positive classroom culture, and meeting the unique needs of each student. This role requires strong instructional skills, effective classroom management, and a commitment to collaborating with families and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons across core elementary subjects.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning styles and academic needs.
  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Assess student progress through formal and informal evaluations and provide timely feedback.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student achievement and development.
  • Foster students’ social-emotional growth, character development, and positive citizenship.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support school-wide goals and initiatives.
  • Participate in school events, professional development opportunities, and staff meetings.
  • Maintain accurate student records and comply with school policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Valid teaching certification/licensure (or eligibility to obtain certification, as required by state regulations).
  • Strong knowledge of elementary instructional practices and child development.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Previous elementary teaching experience.
  • Experience working in small classroom settings.
  • Ability to integrate technology effectively into instruction.
  • Training or experience in differentiated instruction and student-centered learning.
