Location: Indianapolis Metro Area

Compensation: $20-$25 per hour, based on experience

Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday

A well-established mechanical contractor in the Indianapolis metro area is seeking a reliable and organized HVAC Dispatcher to support daily service operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys coordinating moving pieces, and understands the importance of strong communication between customers and field technicians.

Position Overview

The Service Dispatcher is responsible for managing technician schedules, coordinating service calls, and ensuring efficient daily operations. This position serves as the central point of communication between customers, technicians, and internal team members. Success in this role comes from staying organized, thinking quickly, and maintaining a high level of professionalism throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize daily schedules for service technicians to maximize efficiency and productivity
  • Dispatch technicians to service calls and adjust schedules in real time based on urgency and availability
  • Coordinate incoming service requests and prioritize calls appropriately
  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding appointment timing, updates, and expectations
  • Provide technicians with accurate job details, directions, and updates throughout the day
  • Monitor job progress and ensure timely completion of scheduled work
  • Maintain accurate records, notes, and job statuses within the dispatching system
  • Support overall team operations and maintain strong communication across departments

Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience in dispatching, scheduling, or customer service within HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or a similar service-based industry preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities at once
  • Excellent communication skills with both customers and field technicians

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
