Event Staff Acrisure Amphitheater

SCOPE: Event Staff Security Officers utilize their outstanding customer service skills to provide crowd control services for events such as concerts, sporting events, trade shows and conferences at various locations. Event Staff Security Officers ensure the safety of patrons, employees, and visitors at large (and small) scale events.

Current Openings:

  • Evenings/Weekends
  • Limited Day shifts
  • Scheduled for a minimum 4-6 events per month

LOCATION: Downtown and Metro Grand Rapids, MI Event Venues

JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: As an Event Staff Security Officer at DK Security, your duties are determined by the client location. Some responsibilities include:

  • Safety and wellbeing of patrons, guests, and performers.
  • Hospitality Security with all clients, guests, and co-workers.
  • Access Control
  • Must follow venue specific guidelines.
  • Foot Patrols

SUCCESS as Event Staff at DK Security will look like:

  • Reliability- Report for your shift on time, presentable, and in the prescribed uniform.
  • Friendly Personality- Being able to balance our expectations of outstanding customer service while maintaining client policies and enforcing rules.
  • Following Company and Client Policies- Be able to read and interpret written post guidelines, follow procedures as outlined and ensure all tasks are completed throughout the shift.
  • Use of De-escalation Techniques- Being able to defuse situations through and other communication tactics.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 18 years old or older.
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • May NOT have any felony convictions and must be able to pass a criminal background check in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Must be available to work at minimum 4+ events per month.
  • Must have excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
  • Physical Requirements include:
    • Must be able to stand or walk for 4–8-hour shifts.
    • Must be readily able to respond to emergency situations.
    • Must be able to work outdoors during operational hours.
    • Must be able to hear conversations (in person or via 2-way radio) in noisy environments.
    • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
