OVERVIEW: NOTICE OF EXTENDED CONTRACT ASSIGNMENT
POSITION TITLE: World Languages - City View High School
PURPOSE: To teach Spanish 1 and Spanish 2 for high school credit to students using standards aligned lessons and assessments that will prepare students for level 2 or level 3 upon successful completion in a virtual environment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Teachers will be expected to be knowledgeable about the World Language Standards.
* Teachers will be expected to implement unit assessments throughout the course.
* Teachers will be expected to have active, asynchronous communication with students and their guardian(s) in order to support a virtual learning environment.
* Teachers will be expected to align their outcomes with other level 1 or 2teacher(s).
* Teachers will plan and implement asynchronous learning opportunities for students aligned with City View's structures.
* This teaching responsibility will be compensated at the per diem rate as identified on a short term contract paid out in a lump sum stipend totaling 67 hours
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Certified and contracted Cedar Rapids Community School District World Language teachers currently teaching (or assigned to teach in the 2025-2026 school year) Spanish.
