Job description

Aston Martin / Jaguar / McLaren Palm Beach is seeking an experienced Jaguar technician, Aston Martin technician (or other luxury dealership experience) to join our team.  This is a great career choice for an applicant who enjoys an exciting, fast-paced, and rewarding environment.  Our business culture is one of integrity and we pride ourselves on providing excellent customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, some post-secondary automotive training, and at least one year of dealer-level or large facility experience.  Previous dealership experience of at least one year is preferred.  An unrestricted driver's license and a clean driving record, a strong technical performance record, and strong physical dexterity and stamina to get the job done are required.  He or she must be able to work productively in a fast-paced team environment and must have a positive attitude, professional appearance, great communication skills, and the ability to deliver world-class customer service.

RESPONSIBILITES

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Jaguar, Aston Martin or other luxury dealership experience required.
  • Minimum one year of experience as an automotive technician.
  • Team-oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Must be able to work all scheduled hours, including some Saturdays.
  • Able to diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. to specification.
  • Ability to access all areas of vehicles to correctly diagnose problems and perform all repairs.
  • Knowledge of engine management including, but not limited to, emission, fuel, and ignition systems.
  • Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.
  • Ability to accurately identify mechanical problems using both manual and computerized diagnostic equipment.
  • Diagnoses issues based on experience, analysis, and testing.
  • Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs.
  • Able to explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors.
  • Correctly disassemble and reassemble parts.
  • Knowledge of integrated electronic systems, such as sensors.
  • Capable of utilizing power tools including, but not limited to, pneumatic wrenches, lathes, welding torches, and jacks and hoists. Also, able to use common hand tools such as sockets and ratchets, wrenches, and pliers.
  • Acceptable verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Maintains cleanliness of vehicles while performing service or repairs.
  • Ensures that required documentation is complete and follows regulations and standards.
  • Helps maintain shop appearance and safety standards and ensures the shop runs in an efficient manner by performing duties such as inventory stocking and other general functions.
  • Follows all shop policy, procedure, safety, and environmental rules.
  • Attends all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
