Position Summary... What you'll do...

Role summary:
The (USA) Specialist, Quality Assurance is responsible for executing operational analyses to identify quality and compliance opportunities, managing data collection, and evaluating processes to enhance quality assurance procedures. This role oversees corrective actions, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures adherence to regulatory standards. The specialist collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement and monitor quality programs, maintains inventory accuracy, and supports safe handling of pharmaceuticals. By promoting compliance and ethical standards, this position contributes to delivering consistent, high-quality outcomes aligned with company policies and customer expectations.
 

About the team:
The Third-Party App Onboarding QA team ensures that all partner applications meet VIZIO’s certification, performance, functionality, advertising, and user experience standards before reaching customers. This team validates integrations, automates testing, manages defect resolution, and guides applications through the onboarding and certification lifecycle. By focusing on quality assurance and regulatory compliance, the team supports continuous improvement and drives operational excellence. Collaborating closely with partners and internal stakeholders, the team maintains high standards to deliver reliable and seamless experiences on the VIZIO platform.
 

What you'll do:
Lead end-to-end QA, certification, and onboarding of third-party applications on VIZIO Smart TVs
Validate applications against certification requirements, functional specifications, and performance standards. 
Build and execute HTML5 and API test automation suites.
Perform ad integration testing, including ad serving, playback, tracking, and monetization validation. 
Troubleshoot issues using debugging tools & log analysis.
Conduct hands-on device testing, certification validation, and QA lab activities across VIZIO hardware. 
Partner with Product, Engineering, Business Development, and external developers to drive successful app launches. 
Maintain test plans, certification documentation, and continuously improve QA processes.
Provide feedback to improve QA processes, tooling, and coverage.
 

What you'll bring:

  • Strong background in QA, test automation, or a related field

  • Proven experience in test automation for HTML5-based platforms (web& smart TV)

  • Demonstrated ability to write and structure automation test cases from requirements and functional specs

  • Hands-on experience with API automation

  • Experience with ads integration testing for streaming, CTV, or OTT platforms

  • Proficiency using debuggers and analyzing logs to diagnose and troubleshoot issues

  • Experience validating or integrating third-party applications, SDKs, or partner integrations

  • Proficiency with Jira for defect tracking and test management

  • Deep understanding of QA methodologies, tools, processes, and Agile/Scrum frameworks

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, including working directly with external partners

The hourly wage range for this position is $28.00 - $54.00*
*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
