In this role, you will engage with senior officials from the U.S. Space Force, National Reconnaissance Office, U.S. Space Command, White House, Intelligence Community, and other national security organizations, alongside executives from leading space, aerospace, defense, technology, and investment companies. You will help bring to life exclusive executive engagements, major conferences, classified forums, and invitation-only programs, while learning directly from accomplished leaders and building an extraordinary network of mentors, resources, and professional connections.NSSA (www.nssaspace.org) is a 501(C)(3) non-profit support association solely dedicated to the National Security Space Enterprise, to include the Department of War, U.S. Space Force, and the Intelligence Community. NSSA works to advance long-term cooperation among industry and government, leading the way with expert opinion, insight and analysis.SUMMARY OF POSITION DESCRIPTION AND REQUIREMENTSLead registration for all NSSA events to include building of the registration system, answering inbound questions, coordination of clearance passing as appropriate, badge printing etc.Lead administrator of AMS (database) related activities including entering new lists of contacts, respond to inbound queries, stay current on training relative to software platform etc.Provide administrative support (i.e. attend meetings, take notes, schedule meetings etc) for NSSA's Moorman Center for Space Studies, Workforce Development Program, Congressional Affairs, MARCOM, Membership, and Business Development activities.Maintain accurate inventory of NSSA assets in storageLead preparation for NSSA Board of Advisors and Board of Directors meetingsServe as primary staff liaison for newly launched committeesSupport communication team initiativesProvide logistical support to NSSA team members in producing meetings and events to include on-site/day of eventPerform other related duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSEducation and Experience Required:Bachelor's degree3+ years of relevant experience leading registration for events and database administration.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite productsAdvanced proficiency with databases (MemberSuite AMS preferred)Motivated team player and "can do" self-starter, who can work with little supervisionStrong organizational skills with demonstrated commitment to accuracy, detail, and timeliness in completion of tasksExcellent verbal and written communication skillsOutstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to cultivate meaningful relationships across a diverse range of stakeholdersIntellectual curiosity with desire to learn and ability to rapidly translate new skills to informed decisionsDemonstrate critical thinking, sound judgment, ability to manage competing prioritiesPreferredExperience with corporate membership associations or national security space industry desirableWillingness and ability to obtain a U.S. Security ClearanceVelos offers a competitive benefits package including PTO, 401K, and health benefits.
