 Arcticom LLC provides network and systems administration, enterprise architecture and resource planning, certification and accreditation, software design, programming, maintenance of telecommunications and land mobile radio equipment and systems, help desk support and IT transformation services among other services.

 

About this position: Cloud Architect                                          Location – Randolph AFB, TX

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create a well-informed cloud strategy and manage the adoption process.
  • Regularly evaluate cloud applications, hardware, and software.
  • Develop and organize cloud systems.
  • Work closely with Cybersecurity to monitor the portfolio's cloud privacy.
  • Respond to technical issues.
  • Offer guidance in infrastructure movement techniques, including bulk application transfers into the cloud.
  • Identify the top cloud architecture solutions to successfully meet the strategic needs of the company.

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications

  • Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a relevant field
  • Level of Experience Requirements: 15–20 years of experience designing, executing, and supporting IT cloud solutions.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must have or be able to attain a SECRET security clearance.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Deep knowledge of Department of Defense cloud policies and processes.
  • Positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering quality work.
  • Excellent knowledge of cloud computing technologies and current computing trends.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) to properly articulate complicated cloud reports to management and other IT development partners.

Preferred

  • Agile development experience.
  • Active SECRET security clearance.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This position will not have supervisory responsibilities.
