ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Add proper ingredients to mixer according to formulas

Change pellet mill dies and rolls according to manufacturer specifications

Check all bins before filling with processed feeds

Clean and inspect magnets as required

Coordinate feed mixing and pelletizing operations to run efficiently

Coordinate material flow and storage to proper bins

Inspect feed during the process, assuring proper quality

Lubricate equipment according to manufacturer specifications

Maintain accurate production records

Maintain and reconcile accurate drug inventory

Maintain cooler and cleaner for proper operation

Mix and process feed through the pellet mill and associated equipment

Monitor pellet mill cyclone for proper operation

Oversee production employees

Receive ingredients into the plant

Report all maintenance items to Maintenance Department

Represent company values while training incoming employees

Set up pellet mill according to manufacturer specifications

Take production samples as needed

Take samples of incoming ingredients

Abide by all safety regulations to ensure safety of oneself, coworkers and customers

Other duties as assigned by your supervisor

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to frequently stand and/or walk for extended periods of time

Ability to frequently lift and/or carry heavy objects no more than 50 pounds

Willingness to work extended hours and weekends when needed

Willingness to work various weather elements including cold, heat, wind, rain, etc

Outstanding Organizational and Time-Management Skills

Excellent Communication Skills

Respectable Mechanical Skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Valid Driver’s License, with acceptable driving record

Forklift Certified

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Previous Feed Experience
