Job Title: Concierge
Job Pay Range: $18.00/Hr.
Job Summary:

As a member of the Conferences and Catering team, you will assist the Conference Managers and Catering Sales Managers with coordinating all aspects of Conference and Wedding Events while on-site. This is a highly visible role that requires the ability to multi-task, in a fast-paced environment.

What you will be doing:
  • Responsible for making sure meeting rooms are open and ready for clients. -Inspects meeting rooms and event space for maintenance deficiencies, and checks meeting room set up details to ensure all rooms/venues are client ready. -Liaison between Meeting /Event Planner and other departments within the hotel.
  • Manages and responds to Meeting Planner inquiries/requests. -Responsible for making door cards, signage and writing shift reports. -Attends Operations, BEO/Pre-Conference meetings to understand the event needs each day.
  • Develop productive, professional relationships with client contacts.
  • Respond to requests via phone, email and in-person with professionalism and thoughtfulness.
  • Collaborate and communicate with guests, management, and co-workers
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Uphold and abide by all Broadmoor policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned

What we are looking for:
  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Driver's License required as this position may occasionally be required to transport guests, employees and/or event supplies off site event venues.
    • Any employee driving a Broadmoor vehicle must be 18 years or older
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and work without direct supervision and provide immediate follow-up.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and organize work assignments for self and the event managers you support.
  • Ability to resolve problems and exercise good judgment when event manager is not available to you.
  • Ability to focus attention on details. Ability to create and read a Banquet Event Order (BEO), as well as read between the lines of a BEO to ensure all items listed or needed/anticipated are provided
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products, Spreadsheets, E-mail, Database software, AS400, DELPHI and Social Tables.
  • Occasional heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.) with a work environment that may be indoors and outdoors at time.
  • Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic team member who works well with others
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
