GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Responsible for the implementation of all courses at the STAR Center/Mobile STAR Units to include setting up equipment, supplies for all courses, meeting any needs pertaining to supplies or equipment during courses and cleaning up after courses. Provides instruction in the Simulation Center to all course facilitators, including nurses, physicians, staff and community educators. Responsible for operation and troubleshooting of all simulation equipment and task trainers and ensures they are cleaned and functioning properly. Responsible for ensuring that all safety checklists are completed on a regular basis. Maintains and supports learning management system to include uploading courses, adding participants, running reports, and providing technical support to LMS users.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for maintaining all simulation equipment and task trainers to include operation and troubleshooting. (20%)
  • Scenario programming, development and implementation. (20%)
  • Provides instruction to all course facilitators who teach at the STAR Center/Mobile STAR Units and responsible for all simulation courses. (20%)
  • Maintains a data base for all courses to include course proposals, checklists for course preparation and number of learners. (10%)
  • Responsible for daily operations of STAR Center/Mobile STAR Units. (15%)
  • Maintains the simulation calendar, schedules all courses and equipment usage, and sends out weekly course reminders and follow ups after each course. (10%)
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required. (5%)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

  • Associate degree
  • Related simulation experience
  • Audio/visual equipment knowledge and troubleshooting
  • Video recording/editing and production knowledge
  • Knowledge of learning management systems
