Job description

Introduction
Our client is a full-service veterinary practice with multiple locations in Wisconsin and Minnesota, seeking an Associate Veterinarian. The hospitals provide care for small animals, including dogs and cats, and are open to seeing pocket pets or exotic species based on veterinarian interest.

Working Hours / Rota
The clinics are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The role is full-time with no on-call requirements, offering opportunities for flexible scheduling and multi-site work between the two locations. Weekend coverage is not required, and the schedule allows for a balance of medical and surgical cases.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive small-animal care, including wellness services, dentistry, surgery, allergy and dermatology, diagnostic imaging, laboratory testing, microchipping, nutritional counseling, palliative and end-of-life care, and ultrasound. The position includes performing soft tissue surgeries such as spays/neuters, mass removals, cystotomies, and foreign body surgeries, with access to referrals for advanced surgical procedures. The role is open to both new graduates and experienced veterinarians who are interested in working in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Practice Details
The clinics are equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostics and surgical facilities, including in-house laboratory analyzers, IDEXX chemistry and CBC analyzers, digital radiography, ultrasound, and access to send-out laboratories for advanced testing. Facilities include modern treatment areas and well-trained support staff to assist with patient care. Services offered encompass wellness care, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, nutritional counseling, microchipping, and emergency/non-routine surgical procedures.

Team
The practices have three DVMs supported by highly trained technical staff, providing an optimal doctor-to-support ratio. The work environment is collaborative, team-focused, and supportive, with a culture that prioritizes mentorship, professional growth, and high-quality patient care.

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
