Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Armonk, NY that is seeking an experienced UI Designer to support a large-scale, greenfield Salesforce customer technology transformation for a regulated energy and utilities organization. The program is modernizing utility customer operations, customer programs, service experiences, data capabilities, integrations, and legacy Salesforce environments while reducing technical debt and preparing the future-state platform for production adoption.
Overview:
The UI Designer will create polished, responsive, and accessible Salesforce interfaces for utility customers and employees. The role will translate approved journeys and requirements into detailed designs for Salesforce Lightning, Energy & Utilities Cloud, OmniStudio and OmniScript, the Clean Energy Module, Service Cloud, and related digital experiences. This individual will work closely with UX, BAs, product owners, developers, accessibility, QA, and change teams to ensure the delivered interface reflects the intended experience and platform constraints.
Responsibilities:
* Design responsive, accessible interfaces for Salesforce Lightning, OmniStudio and OmniScript workflows used by utility customers and employees
* Translate user journeys, service blueprints, functional requirements, Clean Energy Module processes, and platform constraints into wireframes, prototypes, visual designs, and detailed specifications
* Apply Salesforce Lightning Design System patterns and reusable components while identifying where custom interaction or visual treatment is justified
* Define interaction states, validations, errors, empty states, notifications, responsive behavior, and accessibility requirements
* Collaborate with UX, BAs, product owners, architects, developers, OmniStudio resources, accessibility, QA, and change teams
* Participate in design reviews, usability testing, handoff, implementation validation, defect resolution, and release readiness
REQUIREMENTS:
* 3+ years of relevant enterprise delivery experience in a complex application or transformation environment
* Enterprise UI design experience with a portfolio demonstrating complex application, workflow, or customer-service design
* Experience designing for Salesforce Lightning, OmniStudio and OmniScript, CRM, contact-center, or comparable enterprise applications
* Working knowledge of Energy & Utilities Cloud and the Clean Energy Module sufficient to design within utility process and platform constraints
* Strong proficiency with Figma or comparable design tools, Salesforce Lightning Design System, responsive design, component-based design, and WCAG accessibility
* Ability to communicate design rationale, constraints, tradeoffs, and user needs clearly to business and technical stakeholders
* Experience working in Agile or iterative delivery environments with cross-functional onshore and offshore teams
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain decisions, document risks and dependencies, and collaborate directly with business and technology stakeholders
* Experience using enterprise-approved AI-assisted tools where appropriate, with independent validation of outputs
Preferred Qualifications:
* Utility, clean-energy program, customer-service, or regulated-industry design experience
* Experience with journey mapping, service design, or enterprise design systems
* Salesforce, accessibility, or human-centered design credentials
