Job description

Job Title: Associate Test Engineer (Manufacturing) 

Location: Milpitas, CA (100% Onsite)
Duration: Long term

Short Job Description

We are hiring Associate Test Engineers to support the manufacturing and system-level testing of advanced electro-mechanical, optical, and electrical systems. The role involves setting up, calibrating, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing assemblies while ensuring product quality in a clean-room environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform setup, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical assemblies and final systems.
  • Execute system-level testing and complete rework as needed.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and diagrams to develop and follow test procedures.
  • Prepare technical reports documenting test results and recommendations.
  • Operate test equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters (DVMs), torque wrenches, and calipers.
  • Assist with the setup of specialized test equipment and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical guidance to peers when needed.
Qualifications
  • 2–5+ years of hands-on experience in electro-mechanical assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Experience testing digital and/or analog systems.
  • Ability to work in a clean-room environment.
  • Technical Certificate, Associate degree, military technical training, or equivalent vocational training; Engineering degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of LabVIEW, Linux, and Microsoft Office is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance.
