Job description

Position Summary:

As an Associate Test Technician, you play a pivotal role in maintaining our commitment to excellence by ensuring our products meet the highest standards of fit, form, and function. Through meticulous testing and quality control, you will directly contribute to the safety, efficiency, and satisfaction of our clients, embodying our dedication to quality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform helium leak checks on sealed compartments to ensure airtight integrity.
  • Conduct BCT (Bushing Current Transformer) testing, verifying CT ratios, polarity, and insulation resistance.
  • Perform low voltage Hipot testing to confirm dielectric integrity and insulation strength.
  • Measure and document coil resistance values to ensure proper coil function.
  • Follow standardized test procedures and work instructions with attention to detail and safety.
  • Accurately record all test data and results in tracking systems or documentation logs.
  • Work closely with senior technicians and engineering staff to troubleshoot failures & abnormalities.
  • Follow all safety procedures, particularly when working around high voltage or pressurized systems.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Position Requirements (knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform satisfactorily in the position):
  • High school diploma or GED is required; a 2-year technical degree is preferred. Alternative qualifications may be considered based on experience.
  • Current, valid driver's license.
  • At least one year of relevant experience, with a strong preference for candidates demonstrating expertise across multiple functions or similar roles.
  • Solid understanding of testing equipment, hand tools, and material handling practices.
  • Ability to interpret complex schematics and troubleshoot circuit issues.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to work well in team settings.
  • Basic proficiency with computers and mathematics.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and LEAN manufacturing principles.
