They work closely with cross-functional teams, such as engineering, design, and marketing, to gather requirements, prioritize features, and ensure products meet customer needs. Associate TPMs often assist senior product managers with project management, roadmap planning, and stakeholder communication. This role is a stepping stone to becoming a full Product Manager and provides valuable experience in both technical and business aspects of product development.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an associate technical product manager?

To thrive as an Associate Technical Product Manager, you need a solid understanding of product development, technical concepts, and project management, often supported by a degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills help you bridge the gap between technical and non-technical teams. These abilities are crucial for delivering successful products that meet business goals and customer needs in a fast-paced environment.

What We're Looking For:
We're re-igniting digital as a growth engine-reimagining how technology, data, and AI can help Amway Distributors build, manage, and grow their businesses in an increasingly digital world.
As a Digital Product Manager for distributor business & training tools, you'll have the opportunity to shape digital products used by entrepreneurs around the world. You'll own your products across the full lifecycle-from discovery and strategy through delivery, adoption, measurement, and continuous optimization. • Working knowledge of Agile product development practices, including backlogs, user stories, acceptance criteria, sprint planning, and product releases.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data, user feedback, and business insights to inform decisions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively across teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, navigate ambiguity, and take ownership for delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Demonstrated interest in AI, emerging technologies, and evolving digital experiences and how they can be applied to solve customer and business problems.

Skills to be successful in the role:
  • Experience supporting or managing consumer-facing, mobile, eCommerce, business management, or SaaS digital products.
  • Experience with product analytics, experimentation, customer research, or digital experience measurement.
  • Familiarity with product and analytics platforms such as Jira, Confluence, Amplitude, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Pendo, or similar tools.
  • Experience participating in product discovery, user research, journey mapping, usability testing, or design-thinking activities.
  • Exposure to AI-enabled products, personalization, recommendation engines, conversational experiences, or Generative AI.
  • Experience working with UX/UI designers and translating customer insights into product experience improvements.
  • Experience supporting globally deployed digital products or working with international markets and stakeholders.
  • Understanding of APIs, data integrations, digital platforms, and modern technology ecosystems; technical development experience is not required.
  • Experience defining and monitoring product KPIs such as adoption, engagement, retention, task completion, conversion, satisfaction, or business outcomes.
