Job description

Oates Associates offers a work environment that encourages and supports you during your career development journey. To accommodate our continued growth, we are seeking a Senior Engineer with a focus in Building Structural to work on new building and renovation projects. This position is ideal for a structural engineer who enjoys contributing technical expertise and supporting the development of fellow engineers while delivering high-quality structural designs. Responsibilities will center on structural design and analysis for new building and renovation projects, as well as providing guidance, technical review, and mentorship to junior staff to support high-quality deliverables. This position may be performed remotely. Hybrid or in-office options are also available based on candidate preference.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or architectural engineering - master's degree is a plus
  • PE license - SE license is a plus
  • 5+ years of engineering experience
  • Experience with structural steel, reinforced concrete, and/or masonry design
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of structural engineering software - RAM, RISA, Revit
  • Working knowledge of building codes - IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC
