Functional Responsibilities
Oversees and manages all technical aspects of the Internal Core Interfaces of the AEGIS Weapon System.
Description of DutiesThis position on is located in Washington, D.C. Duties include and not limited to the following:
  • Communication and Briefing Skills
  • Experience related to the identification, analysis and resolution of complex systems engineering issues involving Navy weapon and combat systems
  • Experience composing technical documents including training materials, installation guides, configuration management concepts, proposals and reports in accordance with technical documentation guidelines and standards
  • Expertise in strategic planning, coordination, logistics and vast familiarity with senior and flag level support, including new program initiatives
  • Knowledgeable on DoD/DON Policies and Procedures relating to systems engineering process, software development and software management, verification and validation, test and evaluation and Navy combat systems
  • Knowledgeable in with Acquisition Lead for Technology Insertion for software and hardware development and management as it relates to combat systems
  • Expertise as Acquisition Lead and AEGIS Technology Insertion (TI) equipment suite design and development process
  • Expertise for Combat System Engineering Agent (CSEA) Services for the design, development and integration for AEGIS ships

Minimum Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and Fifteen (15) years of relevant engineering experience, OR
  • Master's Degree in a relevant field and Ten (10) years of relevant engineering experience
  • Extensive knowledge of System Level requirements development
  • Understanding of the structure and organization of the Sponsor
  • Ability to maintain project schedules, calendars, and tasks in workflow tool suites
  • Ability to coordinate work schedules to accommodate customer needs
  • Ability to individually produce and speak to technical reports
  • Ability to lead and direct a technical team

Other required skills/experience:

  • Intimate knowledge of Microsoft Tool suite
  • Strong attention to detail with organizational and problem solving skills
  • Ability to interface constructively with US Government and Industry teammates

Required Skills and Certifications:
  • DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain an Interim Secret Clearance within 90 days of signing the contingent hire offer letter
