Job description

Location: Everett, WA Salary: $50.00 USD Hourly - $80.00 USD Hourly Description: Our client is currently seeking a skilled Electrical/Mechanical Design Engineer to support the development and maintenance of complex engineering systems and documentation. This role involves leading design efforts, managing configuration control, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality deliverables across multiple projects.
This job will have the following responsibilities:
  • Lead the development, maintenance, and release of electrical and mechanical drawings, system designs, and engineering documentation in compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
  • Interpret and manage design requirements across multiple customer projects.
  • Utilize CAD tools to document and maintain configuration design control.
  • Create and modify complex system designs, including design layouts and integration of system elements.
  • Validate engineering system design and functionality to ensure performance and compliance.
  • Oversee product installation and part design processes, from simple to highly complex components.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, external suppliers, and cross-functional stakeholders to align project goals and deliverables.
  • Review and assign tasks to team members, providing guidance with minimal supervision.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Associate degree in a related discipline and 6+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in:
    • Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools
    • Configuration and data management
    • Electrical systems design
    • Engineering processes and documentation
    • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio)
  • Strong understanding of design concepts, techniques, and system integration.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence for tracking and collaboration.
  • Background in environmental control systems (ECS) or similar technical domains.
  • Familiarity with third-party risk platforms such as KY3P.
  • Experience in financial or technology risk environments.
