Senior Technology Designer | Las Vegas, NV
IMEG is hiring a Senior Technology Designer in Las Vegas, NV to lead design efforts for moderate to complex projects and support the delivery of larger, high-complexity initiatives. In this role, you will collaborate with engineers and consultants to provide project direction, technical solutions, and client guidance while supporting the analysis, design, and implementation oversight of low-voltage technology (ICT) systems in buildings. You'll also help manage project budgets, mentor team members, and work cross-functionally to achieve project objectives and client expectations.
Principal Responsibilities
• Lead design efforts for IT structured cabling, audio/video, security, and other low-voltage building systems
• Develop detailed designs, specifications, and calculations according to code requirements and IMEG standards
• Perform site assessments and prepare technical analyses and reports
• Partner with clients to gather project requirements, communicate technical information, and build strong working relationships
• Review low-voltage system designs, calculations, and specifications during the design process
• Apply IMEG quality control processes to ensure designs meet IMEG standards, industry standards, and client requirements
• Provide technical training, mentoring, and limited field issue support to team members
• Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in low-voltage technology engineering while contributing to innovation efforts
• Identify and mitigate safety risks associated with low-voltage technology ICT systems
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions
• Participate in project interviews and presentations
Required Qualifications and Skills
• Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer or related Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, related STEM field Engineering, or equivalent required
• 7 years of experience minimum required, 8 preferred, in the building design consulting industry OR
• Associates degree, or certificate, in Building Information Modeling (BIM) or Engineering preferred
• 11 years of experience minimum required, 12 preferred, in the building design consulting or construction industry
• Advanced proficiency in design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications
• Advanced proficiency in technical and analytical skills including proficiency of principles relating to electrical voltage and current, digital and analog signals, basic IT networking topologies and protocols, as it relates to electrical low-voltage systems design for buildings
• Strong training, mentoring and leadership skills
• Ability to perform final quality control check in their area of expertise
• Ability to sell work and develop client relationships
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Eagerness to adapt to new challenges
• Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
• Must have the ability to travel up to 50%, including local, domestic, and international travel as needed for business purposes, which may include overnight stays and/or air travel

State of Nevada Salary Range: $100,000 - $149,000
Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant.
