Position Overview
Strong customer service and support is a cornerstone of our business. Our Inside Technical Sales Associates (TSAs) build customer confidence with efficient and accurate support on our wide array of products and services. Interacting with customers daily, the team serves as the front-line response for customer needs, quickly responding with problem-solving solutions when issues arise. TSAs acquire and apply product and application knowledge to accurately quote on products and process orders. This key position applies a positive can-do attitude, strong time management, the ability to multi-task and excellent attention to detail to offer a world-class customer service experience.
Responsibilities
  • Promote Safety as the number one priority of all Lucas employees.
  • Respond to complex customer service needs on assigned accounts or support TSA I team members with service requests.
  • Resolve complex customer issues and communicate solutions or requested information in a timely manner. May assist TSA I team members with issue resolution.
  • Use enterprise resource planning tools to record customer activities.
  • Utilize product acumen and understanding of the technical performance of our products to gather specifications and prepare quotes for new business.
  • Follow up on quotes submitted to promote sale closure.
  • Work to expedite orders as necessary, obtaining support from appropriate internal resources. May assist TSA I team members on obtaining order updates from Operations.
  • Partner with internal technical, sales and marketing resources to offer suggestions for product enhancements and to share insights from customers.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
  • Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.

Experience/Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior experience with complex quote preparation.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet quality expectations in terms of quote accuracy.
  • Prior experience resolving complex customer issues timely and accurately.
  • Demonstrated success mentoring team members on quoting and resolving customer issues.
  • Passion for working with people and building relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while executing against timelines.
  • Ability to communicate respectfully in a manner which results in mutual understanding.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality as necessary and requested.
  • Ability to use desktop computer systems and various software programs to retrieve, record, analyze and communicate data.
  • A positive, can-do attitude.

This position is based on site at our facilities in Cudahy, Wisconsin. It is a manufacturing company, and the TSA will work with a diverse population in both office and production settings. The position may require the use of personal protective equipment (eye protection, hearing protection and steel toe shoes provided by the company) to access internal resources located in the production environment.
